Two brothers, Stijn and Joost, apply their training and experience to launch their first business idea. Food Innovation, Business Entrepreneurship and passion for the hospitality industry prove to be a recipe for success: MoldBrothers is born.
The brothers sell their PlayStation 4 and other valuable items to get their business off the ground. Operating on a shoestring budget, they set up shop in their parents’ garage. Within no time their business outgrows the garage, and they need to find their first office space and production facility.
The first years are spent trying to figure out how to grow and improve MoldBrothers in every aspect. Collaborations are actively sought and the webshop and business operations are optimized. Meanwhile, their range of molds, stencils and products continues to grow.
More and more chefs and other food professionals join the MoldBrothers family, which is now a diverse mix of cultures from all over the world. A Test Kitchen is set up to support the gastronomic specialists in developing their ideas in innovative ways.
